ADDING NEW FIELD(S) IN AN EXISTING TABLE

Hello all,

 

In our implementation, we add new doctors through transaction NG04, in table NGPA.

 

Recently, due to legislative changes we have to also maintain two new insurance numbers for each doctor - let's call this new numbers "IN2" & "IN3". Our SAP consultants/developers handled this by creating a NEW table, where the "IN2" & "IN3" are stored, together with some other data related to each doctor.

 

Now, when we add a new doctor we have to insert data TWICE, once for the NGPA table and once for the new table. I'd like to make clear that we need the NGPA entry for using the doctor in admissions/services/etc, and the new table for getting the "IN2" & "IN3" insurance numbers, used in custom reports.

 

My questions is this:

Is it possible to add new fields in an existing SAP table, i.e. NGPA? Could we also change the NG04 dialogue, so that it contains the two new fields, so that ONLY ONE table (NGPA) is maintained? Isn't this something that consultants/developers would be aware of?

 

I feel that the answer is "yes" to both questions, but i'd like to hear it from more experienced developers.

Hi

 

I have 7 years of IT experience with 3+ year in healthcare. Currently I am working for NHS-National Healthcare Services u2013UK.

 

I have functional & domain experience of healthcare but not in SAP. I do not have any healthcare certification. My core skill is in Microsoft (web base technology and data base). I am interested to build my career in SAP healthcare.

 

Can I start my career in SP healthcare without SAP knowledge ? Where I can find SAP healthcare job ?

 

I appreciate your advice in this regards.

How deep is the integration between SAP Patient Management and SAP CRM?

Hi everybody

I'm trying to get updated on how deep is the integration between SAP Patient Managemen (IS-H) and SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

I heard about SAP PRM (Patient Relationship Management), but as far as I know, is an isolated solution with no standard integration to IS-H. For example, there is no syncronization between the ISH Patient and the CRM Business Partner.

As of release 604, IS-H introduces the SAP Central Business Partner to replace the old ISH Busines Partners. The SAP Central Business Partners are integrated with the CRM Business Partners, so, some integration is possible.

Do you know it the Patient records will also become SAP Business Partners in 604.

 

Any information is more than welcome.

Hi Experts,

 

I am working on the SAP HCM implementation in the Health Sector and this is the first time i am working in Health Sector Project, and one of the IS-Healthcare Consultant has raised the following issue saying it as HR issue, and i am unable to figure out if its my error or not,I checked all the settings from my end and everything seems to be fine from my end... Please Advise....

 

In IS-H, NB20 is to create an organization structure in IS-H , but when we try to execute the t code thru easy access, it is giving a message saying " PLAN VERSION CURRENT PLAN WAS SET" ... and the T-code is not execuing

Transfer Prices between different departments in the medical center

Hello,

 

Here are internal service sales between different departments in the same medical center. For example: Radiology center/department sells X-rays services for the cardiology center. We need the ability to sell a service to a different department in a different price than to an external payer/customer/insurance provider.

Is it possible to implement profit center transfer prices along with the ISH_CO integration?,

How is it getting along with the posting of internal activity allocation when services transfer to Controlling?

At standard the costs are allocated (by means of internal activity allocation) between profit centers. The responsible cost center (assigned to the performing organization unit) is credited and the case based order (which is assigned to different profit center) is debited.

Is it possible to implement transfer prices in case the performing organizational units are connected to the same profit center? (because some of departments are subdivided to several medical organizational units; and each unit represents a different cost center at the same profit center/department).

Do you recommend defining a different profit center also for each sub-department?

Do you have any other proposed solution for this issue?.

Experience with upload of patient pictures to Patient Management?

Hi,

 

does anyone have experience with uploading patient pictures (taken during admission) to Patient Mgmt? We have a concrete project requirement to have a picture included in the patient summary. This shall increase patient safety and reduce errors related to decisions based on wrong patient data.

How to enforce generating process of HL7

Hi,

 

HL7 messages sent by SAP are obviously generated from some kind of table which contain the neccessary data. Generating theses messages is done immediately, but after a certain time. Is there a way to force IS-H to generate the messages and to wait until next scheduled run??

Replace patient create bapi with enterprise service

Hi all,

 

I've compared the input data of the patient create bapi with the input message of the patient create enterprise service. There are some differences and so I don't know if it's possible to replace the bapi with the enterprise service. As example, the bapi offers input fields for contact persons (first and last name, relationship, address number) which are stored in the table NPAT.

In contrast, the enterprise service offers the input type dependent relationship with fields DependendId and RoleCode.

Which table does the service use to store the contact information?

Does the create patient service fill the same tables as the bapi?

Is it possible to replace the bapi create patient with the enterprise service?

Hi All,

 

My requirement is that after entering in np10 transaction, after giving institution and case and choose display it wil take you to case overview list , select one of the case list and click on invoice  and choose cancel tab button then  in cancel  date

the system date has to be populated ,as the it is a production issue.

Hi All,

 

Does anyone know how to find the reports and transactions that are affected by ISH Billing (Interim Billing /Final billing) in hte Tx NA30. I need to modify the some functiionality of Interim billing at NA30 and still maintain the consitenecy of NA30.

I comprehended how to send Patient data to Lab system via HL7.

Is there any way to send Clinical Order (or Service Request) to lab system?

I suppose it should be HL7 ORM u2013 Order Message.

This is my first week working with PMD's and I have no previous experience in the field.

 

I'd like to know if any of you might have a tutorial about PMDs.

I found this link in SAP Help, but it'd be great if I could find a more friendly manual about this.

How to Post Customer invoice and Incoming Payment?

Hi,

Please give me some inputs for the below scenario. Please help me where i can do this..I could not find the T.Codes..

 

 

 

1. Customer Invoice

 

2. Customer Payment at Desk

 

3. Down payment

 

4. Down Payment Clearing

 

 

 

I could able to find the t.code for Down payment, But i could not find the T.Codes for Invoice and Incoming Payment and Payment Drawer.
